ACCESSIBILITY, INCLUSIVITY AND MOBILITY
Concordia University is committed to equity, diversity and inclusion. The Campus Master Plan must reflect this by seeking to create and adapt spaces for pedestrians, cyclists, public transit users and those with mobility needs. In addition to physical barriers, the plan should watch for social or economic constraints as well.
If you have ideas for fostering accessibility, inclusivity, and mobility on Concordia's campuses, please share them with us.
To help get you thinking, here are some areas we've already identified through initial analysis:
- Consider spaces through the lens of Concordia's policy on Diversity and Inclusion
- Seek ways of recognizing that the university is located on unceded indigenous land
- Improve the accessibility of spaces
- Develop more links between the university community, neighbours and the City of Montreal
- Facilitate and promote active and public means of transportation
- Improve the pedestrian links between university buildings
- Foster connections between the two campuses
